AP History Jump Start

Students interested in getting a head start on writing skills for Advanced Placement history classes will have the opportunity to write responses to four document based questions (DBQs). Each student response is evaluated according to the rubric common to AP World History, AP United States History, and AP European History. The instructor is a long-time Advanced Placement teacher who has served as a scorer at more than five of the AP readings in both AP World History and AP European History. The opportunity to learn and practice the skills for writing a DBQ in a low pressure environment should help students to more easily demonstrate mastery in this type of writing, and will enable them to perform at a higher level in class and on their year-end exams. Drop-off and pick-up (and student parking) in the Upper Deck.
