Wildlife Wonders: Get up-close and personal with real wild animals in this wildly-popular camp! Children are able to touch some animals and get very close to others. Arts and crafts are a part of the program and are based on the particular animals shown that day. Come prepared to have a great time with Mr. Hughes and his animal companions!

CreativeKids camps are designed to give your talented students the tools they need to be successful in the creative, performing, and visual arts. Lead Teachers are certified in their specific arts discipline. Since each camp focuses on one of several areas within the arts, we’ve prepared FAQs that you can print and post at home to give you more information on how to prepare for camp and what to expect. Chris Brown teaches a variety of music camps to kids of all ages. He is currently Choral Activities Director at Alexander Graham Middle School and previously taught general music/chorus at Sharon Elementary. Over the years, his students have made national, regional, state, and local honor choirs. He is also the Youth and Children's Coordinator at Myers Park Presbyterian Church; he has directed the Young Men's Voices for the Young Voices of the Carolinas and has twice been a quarter-finalist for the GRAMMY Foundation Music Educator. Mr. Brown has a Masters degree in trumpet performance from Eastern Kentucky University and is Nationally Board Certified in children's voices.
Adrienne Johnson has been teaching, singing, storytelling, and stretching with children in classrooms and libraries around the world since 2005. She began studying music at age 8 and is a certified Music Together teacher who never leaves home without her ukulele! She is also a certified children's yoga instructor and weaves mindfulness into all her teaching practices. Adrienne's playful nature and dramatic flair invite children to safely explore their creativity in new domains.
Miss Ava and The Original Curiosity Camp are celebrating their 25th year in 2018! As "The Science Lady", Ava Bowen and her crack team of science educators have taught well over 100,000 students. The first camp was Ooze, Glop & Slime, and its timeless concepts are still as fascinating as ever to children of all ages. If you haven’t experienced a Miss Ava camp yet, now’s your chance!
