CK's Art Extreme

Trade your paint brush for items you might find around the house! This week the messier, the better. We’ll use all kinds of different objects like water bottles and ping pong balls to make cool museum quality finished products. Campers will learn how to follow directions, improve fine motor skills, learn patience and problem solving skills, and improve their focus and concentration as they learn artistic techniques using non-art objects. This camp is very hands-on and project based. Campers can expect to begin at least one new project a day, understanding that some of them will take a few days to complete. We encourage campers to wear clothes they don’t mind getting messy.

The CK visual arts camps give campers the opportunity to imagine, create and explore using a wide variety of art mediums.  Participation in visual arts activities promotes communication skills, encourages cognitive development, enriches cultural knowledge, integrates emotional development and helps campers master fine motor skills. Campers will learn art techniques specific to the camp theme, practice these techniques and produce art projects that campers will take home and share with their families.
