Calling All Minecraft Computer Game Lovers

Turn Minecraft fun into real life skills as your child learns to make friends, build relationships, and work as a team with other players who are not just on a computer, but actually in the room. Computer games like Minecraft have been shown to help kids regulate emotions, build strong social ties, and improve cognitive abilities such as spatial awareness and geometry skills. Through Minecraft World, this camp offers students the opportunity to develop their creativity by building vast worlds with the help of their classmates and working through team-building exercises led by the instructor. Students can also participate in group challenges, competing with each other to build and explore! Campers can bring their own username and password. If your child doesn’t have a Minecraft account, one will be provided for them to use for the week. Don’t forget to bring your own USB flash drive so work can be saved and brought home. If your camper enjoys this camp they will most likely enjoy, "Four Days of Minecraft" (rising gr. 3-9, Session 5).

With over 18 years of experience, Smart Educational Art provides the wonder of technology and computer game development to Providence Day School campers. Their young, enthusiastic instructors are specialists in simulation, modeling, animation, programming and all areas related to computer game/app design and development.
