CK's Stage Makeup

Do you watch makeup tutorials on YouTube? Have you ever wondered how the pros transformed Angelina Jolie into Maleficent or make cuts and bruises look so real? If so, join us as we learn how to use stage makeup to age ourselves, create realistic animal characters and fantasy makeup designs, adorn ourselves with realistic-looking cuts, bruises, and so much more. This design-based theatre camp will give you the chance to explore techniques that are used to transform people into realistic fiction and non-fiction characters. Campers will learn how to capture their designs on a makeup diagram, and then execute their creation using the appropriate tools and techniques onto their face. They will also learn about taking care of their skin and appropriate cleaning techniques to care for makeup and the tools needed to execute makeup. Campers will design at least one makeup look per day and apply the makeup for each design. Each look will be photographed to compile a makeup journal that each camper will bring home with them at the end of the week.

Creative Kids is celebrating 25 years as a trusted camp partner of Providence Day Summer Programs. Owner and creative director Brooke Fulton has directed PDS’ annual Lower School musical since 2016.
