Youth Field Hockey

Join the Providence Day field hockey coaching staff and players for another summer of fun at the Youth Field Hockey camp! Led by PD Field Hockey Head Coach Miki Osherow and Associate Head Coach Michelle Garrity, campers will learn and develop dribbling, dodging, passing, and hitting skills through action-filled drills. Then apply those skills in small game situations throughout the week and scrimmage on the last day. A special treat one morning includes a welcome cool down at the Summer Programs Water Park (pending health regulations)! Campers should wear shin guards, mouth guards, and sunscreen and bring a water bottle. Campers with their own hockey sticks should bring them; please label all items. Sticks are available to borrow.

Coach Miki Osherow has been coaching at Providence Day since 2000. She led the Chargers to win the 2020 NCISAA State Championship, their first for the Chargers since the program was introduced. She has developed a competitive program that has gone to the state finals in recent years and has helped develop PDS athletes who have gone on to be the school’s first DI and DIII field hockey student-athletes. In her club-coaching world, Coach Osherow’s teams have won Gold at National tournaments and achieved a coveted U14 4th place finish at the National Club Championship in 2018.

Coach Michelle Garrity is a Providence Day School alumna and a Middle School math teacher. She has been coaching field hockey for more than 15 years with experience at the high school and club levels. She helped lead the PD Chargers to their first NCISAA State Championship in 2020.
